Our mission is to build a household fantasy brand that entertains, inspires, and enriches the lives of millions of people.

We’ll pioneer new frontiers at the intersections of web3 and entertainment, defining a new paradigm of value enabled by NFTs. This new paradigm can accelerate our success to unimaginable extents.

We’re the first NFT project that we’re aware of to close the gap between economic and collectable value. Most projects don’t have a viable economic value proposition, and the few that have one don’t meaningfully link that business to the collectability of their NFTs.

### Community value - NFTs that inspire and empower holders to create value

Our community is incentivised to create value with us in various ways. Their NFTs can capture the value of those efforts, and this combined with other rewards and prizes incentivises them to create further value. The more our community grows and creates value with us, the more valuable our NFTs can become.

Community value is only sustainable when members have an incentive to create value unrelated to the price of the NFT. This is best achieved by bringing value into the system from outside as we are with our products and wider ecosystem. Most NFT and crypto projects fail because they do not focus on bringing value into the system, which can often mean community energy fizzles out.

### Perpetual value - An NFT value capture mechanism that can fuel continual growth

Our NFTs can create perpetual value more powerfully than any other project we’ve seen. Product sales inject economic value from outside the system and this can increase the passive income and other rewards. The products can also make the NFTs more desirable as collectables.

Our community can also create social and sentimental value with us, and this can propel the demand for the NFT, and the more value the NFT captures (economic, collectable, ecosystem, community), the more value the community can be inspired to create.&#x20;

# Introducing the Elderworld - our expansive fantasy universe

### The Elderworld is a fantasy universe bustling with awesome and extraordinary things.&#x20;

Imagine lands ruled by witches and giants; deerfolk battling with humans; caverns gleaming with dwarven gold; ethereal forests touched by floating aerie; goblin traders roaming the treacherous seas; the Desasmork lurking in the dark shadows; and countless other delights in a world of immense beauty and magic.

Storytelling and visual arts run through our core. J K F Sandham is a highly rated author of a crime novel. Ashley Crossland is an accomplished digital visual artist. We’ve grown a strong team to create and deliver Elderworld products and market them.

All our products and intellectual property are within the Elderworld. There’ll be a range of product lines to attract vast audiences, though the overall themes of the Elderworld will be distinct, inspiring and memorable.

Our goal is to make the Elderworld a household brand, one step at a time.

The Stag Alliance is a cornerstone entity within the Elderworld. Think of it as one of the separate and yet interconnected entities within the Marvel universe.

# True passive income from Elderworld product sales

In the pursuit for the extraordinary and to innovate, we’ve broken a flawed tradition.&#x20;

#### Our NFT holders can earn $ADA from fantasy product sales.

The flawed tradition that we’ve disrupted refers to projects minting a token that has no logical use or substantial value. Minting a token can create short-term hype, but there’s no real need for a token. If real value is being captured, that value can be passed straight to the NFT holders. A token creates a false sense of value. The project can then race to create enough value to be captured by the token, but then the token + the NFT have to capture the value, so that value is diluted. #### True passive income comes from an income source creating real value in the real world. A token mint doesn't do that.

# Elderworld, the Legacy - Our gamified ecosystem platform

Gaming is one of the biggest industries in the world, and what better way to engage people in a fantasy world? Web3 paves the way for new gaming economies where the player can actually own the things they acquire in the game. That’s exciting. In that way, NFTs can create a bridge between in-game value and real-world value.

Some of the earliest limited edition collectables in a game can become the rarest and most sought after. For that reason, only our Portal Pass and Stag NFT holders can engage with the early releases of our gamified platform.

Leading games often take multiple millions to create. This would be unrealistic for most CNFT projects, so we’re focusing on what matters: simplicity, fun, and rewards.

Players can play mini-games to gather resources, craft items, combat, magic and more to establish their legacy in the Elderworld. Rare items can be minted as NFTs and traded on the open market.

Game features will be released in phases. The alpha testing and play phases are only open to NFT holders. During the beta phases, we’ll open the game to others.

The platform can link various elements of our ecosystem, making it fun and rewarding for all sorts of participants. Whether you’re an NFT collector who wants to earn passive income, an avid gamer, a socialite who wants to be rewarded for spreading the word, or someone who wants their voice heard in shaping the project, the platform will make it all possible.

This Vision Paper introduces the features and opportunities that we intend to build in the platform. The gamified platform connects various elements of our ecosystem and can change at any point to benefit the community and project at large.


# The Bank of Moonstone

The Bank of Moonstone is the first establishment being built within the Elderworld and it marks the Age of Prosperity. We call it the Age of Prosperity because we believe we’ve created the best possible value capture in NFT and web3.

# Stake your NFTs and earn Prestige (PSTG)

Prestige (PSTG) is a loyalty points system that unlocks a range of epic benefits for our NFT holders. The more PSTG you have, the better your rewards and influence across our entire ecosystem.

Prestige (PSTG) gives you benefits across our whole ecosystem. We’ll continue expanding the range of benefits given. They’re already the most comprehensive benefits we’re aware of in the space. Note that we’ll roll these out when appropriate, not all at once.

#### **Vault Rewards**

Earn $ADA from the sales of real world fantasy products.

#### **Your NFTs can become legends in our literature**

Those with the most PSTG can choose which NFTs feature in our lore and literature products. This can accelerate the collectable value captured by your NFT.

#### **Exclusive access to collectable products**

Those with the most PSTG can gain exclusive access to collectables with high-value potential, such as a signed, limited edition hard cover fantasy novel. You could also get airdrops of further NFT collections and whitelisting priority.

#### **In-game features**

Those with the most PSTG can gain access to better in-game features.

#### **Free products**

Once our project is thriving financially, we’d like to reward holders with the most PSTG with free products. This could be books, merch, premium game features, and more.


# The PSTG points system

The PSTG points system is designed to encourage people to buy and hold our NFTs via gamified, non-custodial staking that leads to earning tangible, real world value (discussed earlier), not an inflationary token reward. Our holders can earn $ADA, and many other benefits.

Through gamification and rewards, the system aims to make it advantageous for owners to hold their NFTs in most cases. This strategic approach is intended to drive an increase in the floor price by reducing the available supply. The gamification aspect not only enhances user engagement but also stimulates demand, further contributing to an upward push on the floor price. Importantly, the system is designed to achieve these objectives without causing detrimental feedback loops that could harm the ecosystem in the medium to long term.

PSTG is an off-chain points system because there is no logical reason to put it on chain and incur txn fees and add unnecessary load to the chain. It’s non-tradeable. Its major function is to determine which holders should get the best benefits in our ecosystem. It functions better off-chain.

Users who register at the Bank of Moonstone can begin earning PSTG for all the Stag Alliance NFTs and Portal Pass NFTs in their wallet. If you purchase a new eligible NFT, it can begin earning PSTG automatically.\

# Seasons

Seasons can last varying amounts of time depending on community feedback and other factors, such as earnings, market dynamics, project developments and more.

#### During each season, the vaults at the Bank of Moonstone can be stocked with $ADA and NFTs to reward people who have earned PSTG. The income sources can include all of those discussed earlier.


# Base PSTG

Our NFTs are separated into tiers. Each tier has a base PSTG that it can earn each day it is staked during a season. Rarer NFTs earn more than lower-tier NFTs, and the base PSTG values have been modelled so as not to be overpowering. We want staking to be appealing, accessible and rewarding to all, including newcomers.

# Types of staking

There are two types of staking, fluid staking and promise staking.

### **Fluid staking**

This is the basic form of staking. Upon registering for staking at the Bank of Moonstone, all eligible NFTs in your registered wallet(s) that are not listed for sale are automatically staked in this manner. You will start earning PSTG at the base rate for each day that the NFT is eligible during the season.

* Citizen base PSTG = 30
* Days in season = 180

### **Promise staking**

Promise staking means making a commitment to staking specified NFTs for a set time, usually between 30 days and the length of a season. It requires manual decision making and action at the Bank of Moonstone.

Doing this boosts your daily rewards compared to regular staking. But, if you go back on your promise and sell the NFT before the promise is completed, you lose all the PSTG you could have earned.

#### **Promise staking multipliers**

For simplicity, multipliers will be expressed as percentages from here onwards.

#### **Penalty for breaking a promise stake**

If you break a promise, all PSTG earned for that NFT since the beginning of the promise period is reduced to zero. If the promise is part of a chain, only the individual broken promise is affected. PSTG from previously completed promises are safe, and combo PSTG which the NFT made possible is safe (up until the point the NFT is no longer staked, from which point combo PSTG also stops accumulating). See chaining promises and combo staking below.

### **Chaining promise stakes**

You can chain promises together and achieve cumulative bonuses, though it is more rewarding to make and keep a single large promise stake across the same period.

Chaining promises adds the bonus from the previous promise to the new one.

At any time, a promise stake can be queued on to the end of an existing promise stake, provided the existing promise stake does not already reach the end of the season.

#### **Chaining promises within the same season**

The bonus from the previous promise is added to the new one.

For example, a 30 day promise stake of a Citizen with 3x chained promises:

* Citizen base PSTG = 30 per day
* 30 day promise multiplier = 10%
* Promise 1 multiplier = 10%
* Promise 2 multiplier chained: 10% + 10% = 20%
* Promise 3 multiplier chained: 20% + 10% = 30%
* Promise 1 total: (30 base PSTG \* 30 days) = 900 PSTG+ 10% = 990 PSTG
* Promise 2 total: (30 base PSTG \* 30 days) = 900 PSTG + 20% = 1080 PSTG
* Promise 3 total: (30 base PSTG \* 30 days) = 900 PSTG + 30% = 1170 PSTG

**Grand total = 3240 PSTG**

#### **Chaining promises from one season to the next**

You can chain promises from one season to the next, though the carry-over bonus is clamped at 50% to prevent compounding over time. This encourages owners to maintain stakes from one season to the next, but prevents PSTG accumulation getting out of control via a compounding feedback loop.

When chaining promises from one season to the next, PSTG is distributed at the end of each promise at the end of each season. This is so you can claim maximum rewards for that season. The multiplier bonus is carried over when a promise is chained so that you can earn more PSTG in the next season.

* Citizen base PSTG = 30 per day
* 180 day promise multiplier = 100%
* Promise 1 multiplier = 100%
* Promise 1 + promise 2 chained from season 1 to season 2 (with 50% clamp) = 100% + 50% = 150%
* Season 1 promise: (30 base PSTG \* 180 days) = 5400 PSTG + 100% = 10800 PSTG
* Season 2 chained promise: (30 base PSTG \* 180 days) = 5400 PSTG +150% =13500

**Grand chained total = 24, 300 PSTG**\
\
Two promise stakes that were not chained across each season would have totalled 21,600 PSTG (season 1 + season 2). Chaining across seasons resulted in 24,300 PSTG.

# Seasonal combo bonuses

Holders earn extra PSTG each season by staking a pre-specified combination of stags. These rewards are intended to be dynamic. The goal is to encourage trading to ensure a healthy ecosystem. Combos will change each season and be announced before any season commences.

The bonus is independent of promise staking bonuses and not subject to any multipliers or penalties, it simply applies for the time period that the condition is met. **The combo bonuses can be earned daily.**

Each specific collection bonus can be awarded a maximum of once per owner, and each NFT you own can contribute to any number of bonuses.

E.g., Someone who owns and stakes 2 Airesty Conjurers would get a bonus for staking 2 Airesty, and a bonus for staking 2 Conjurers. But someone with 10 Conjurers only gets the bonus for a pair of Conjurers once, and if 3 of them are Airesty they would get the same bonus as if there were only 2 (assuming no specific collection is defined for 3).

Combos can and will take many forms. These range from combos that reflect our [Discord roles](https://discord.com/channels/991041929431105577/991799093988950067) to new ones that can combine types of NFT, traits, and more.&#x20;

These combinations can take many forms, and we can change them each season.&#x20;


# Vault Rewards - Earn $ADA and NFTs

Vaults are to be stocked with $ADA and other valuable things, such as NFTs. Each season, those with PSTG can claim their share of the Vault Rewards. The more PSTG you have, the more you earn.

Various vaults can be created for various types of ecosystem participant.

**The Grand Vault**

The Grand Vault is the first and most significant vault. It will be filled with income from all our sources (see [products and income](/true-passive-income-from-elderworld-product-sales)). The vault will be filled with $ADA. The number of PSTG you have in relation to all other holders with PSTG eligible for the Vault Rewards determines your weighting. The higher your PSTG weighting in the vault, the more you earn.

We will stimulate demand for PSTG and Vault Rewards by adding a significant amount of $ADA to this vault in season 1.

**The Vault of Treasures**

This vault can be stocked with valuable treasures to be raffled off to everyone who has PSTG. The more PSTG you have and the higher up the leaderboard you are, the higher chance you have of winning prizes.

More vaults can be added in the future, and the above vaults may change depending on feedback and continual improvement of the system.


# Further features of the GP

We intend on adding many more gamified features to the platform. That can include more mini-games, and more activities and opportunities.

#### We are looking into crafting, combat and magic to be added to the roadmap, and we want these to include player-based co-op and battle. More info will be released as it is solidified.


# Enter the Portal Events (EP)

**Statement November 2024**

We’ve heard the community questions about the *Enter the Portal* (EP) events, so here’s the latest. As a team known for leading communication in the space, we aim to keep you informed about all our strategic decisions.\
\
Since the EP events were initially planned, the NFT landscape has shifted. While our original vision for EP was ambitious, we found that the current market climate wasn’t ideal for its full launch. Instead, we adapted, focusing resources on creating the [**Bank of Moonstone**](https://www.stagalliance.com/prestige) (BoM) to bring real value to our community. With BoM, NFT holders can now earn **$ADA** from Elderworld’s fantasy product sales—an entirely unique benefit that didn’t require extra minting or a token raise.\
‍\
All the groundwork from EP is not lost. We’re integrating its components—character interactions, mining mini-games, and resource exploration—into our current platform, and everything will tie back to **PSTG**. Plus, we have a game-changing initiative in the works, promising even more value.\
‍\
EP is still coming but at a better time and scale to ensure long-term growth. The Bank of Moonstone has provided a solid foundation, making the EP’s upcoming release even stronger by aligning with our pillars of **Collect, Earn, Thrive** in Elderworld. This is an Elderworld genesis collection. Alongside Portal Passes, these NFTs can gain the most value and benefits in our ecosystem.

Deer are majestic and wonderful creatures. They appear in many cultures with strong, positive connotations. Our NFTs can benefit from those positive connotations and associations.

In the [lore](https://www.stagalliance.com/lore) of the Stag Alliance, the deer are turned into humanoids by a Mad Sorceress. This is a strong premise for an ancient fantasy lore.

The collection is separated into several tiers. Each tier has its own unique benefits within the ecosystem, and the collection has been designed so that we can gamify every element, even down to the individual trait level.

There are hundreds of traits that have been carefully drawn and combined to create a vibrant collection with several collectable themes. It combines the weird and wonderful nature of NFT art themes with a unique hand-drawn style. The collection was designed by Ashley Crossland.

In partnership, J. K. F. Sandham and the Stag Alliance are exploring new frontiers of digital collectability with plans to integrate these special collectibles into their web3 ecosystem.

#### About the collectability and ecosystem:

* These books will be featured in Seasonal Combo bonuses to earn Prestige (PSTG) points and epic rewards such as $ADA at [play.elderworld.io](http://play.elderworld.io/)
* Treasures are hidden inside these books
* Collectible cover sets of a variety of distinctive themes designed by Ashley Crossland
* Can be included in Elderworld RPG/strategy browser based game when specific features are launched, acting as a book and ingame item

# Other Elderworld NFTs

We want our genesis NFTs to capture as much value as possible. That's why we haven't rushed into a token launch, and why we haven't planned any other NFT mints for the mere sake of it.

Any further mints we launch will only come into fruition if they can enrich the ecosystem and community experience.

For example, there will be legendary items that can be minted in the EP and GP.

Not all items can be minted, because that would flood the supply of NFTs available capturing the value of our project. Imagine if a MMORPG like World of Warcraft flooded an NFT market by enabling every in-game item to be an NFT. There'd be a supply of millions.

Instead, only the most prized characters, items, artefacts, and other things in the Elderworld will be mintable as NFTs.


# Social gamification and empowerment

We empower our community to create social value with us and reward them for it. An NFT project can capture much more value when solid structures are in place enabling the community to spread the word and strengthen our social presence.


# Heroes of the Herd

Heroes of the Herd is our social gamification project that empowers our community to create social value and be rewarded for it.

We create social quests in various forms such as asking our community to engage with our X posts / Tweets and in return they earn XP.

In the future, the more XP you earn, the more in-game currency you’ll get. You can use the in-game currency to buy raffle tickets and NFTs!

Social gamification and empowerment are great ways to grow a project and we’ll continue developing our Heroes of the Herd campaign. All holders benefit because it brings more awareness to the project and this can often lead to more demand for the NFTs, as well as a thriving community ecosystem.

# Bridging web2 and web3

### Creating a fantasy world through literature and gaming can give us the best chances of bringing web2 audiences to web3.

Our gamification will begin targeting and engaging web3 audiences, making it fun and rewarding to collect our NFTs. Later, we want to create a seamless gaming experience for web2 players to interact with our ecosystem without any of the current barriers to entry. More info will come when we are at that stage.

Fantasy literature in the form of stories, novels, audio, etc. are an exceptional way to gain a web2 audience. We’ll put links and info about our community, game and NFT collections in the back matter of the relevant books. Those who have enjoyed the books are much more likely to appreciate the credibility of everything else in our ecosystem and engage with us at a deeper level.&#x20;

We intend to create a solid and welcoming onboarding experience for those who want to jump from web2 into web3.
